EAHC meets Banyan Tree Resort Group

Last July 26, 2007, Mr. L. Gerard Saliot, CEO of Euro Asia Hotel Contract, met-up with the Banyan Tree Resort Group (BTR) who introduced themselves as the operator of spas in a ‘resort-style’ concept. The meeting was headed by Mr. Cakrajaya from Architrave, the in-house design and planning department of BTR. Their project planning and costing departments were represented as well, during the meeting.

Currently, they are planning to build 20 Water Villas in Bintan, Indoensia with a satellite back-of-the house, a buggy path jetty 750m long and 2 guard posts. These will be built in-front of the existing Banyan Tree Bintan. Another project is the extension of Maison Souvannaphoum Hotel in Luang Prabang, Laos. This will comprise 10 units of timber villas.

EAHC was invited to submit a quotation for the pre-fabricated timber bungalows for both Banyan Tree Bintan and Luang Prabang. EAHC expects to be invited to tender for the FFE of these projects.

Mr Saliot sees this as an opportunity for EAHC to penetrate the Asian markets, which is increasing recognizing the value of such resorts.
